Treatment & maintenance

Corten steel is naturally anti-corrosive and develops its protective rust layer over time when first exposed to atmospheric conditions. The gate is supplied in its normal metal colour and is not rusted on arrival. Rusting can be accelerated by spraying the surface with soap water and salt water. Avoid contact with the developing rust layer to help prevent staining on clothing.
