From Calvet, Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2024 is a full-bodied red wine with an intense ruby-red colour and purple reflections. Calvet was founded by Jean-Marie Calvet in the Rhône river valley in 1818 and later expanded across France’s major wine-producing regions. The house operates to its own Codex of 40 rules, with blending and ageing carried out only in the area where the company is located. Ageing takes place in French oak barrels for no less than 6 months, typically around a year, followed by several months of bottle maturation. During blending and ageing, the wine is sampled 7 to 11 times.
