Ventisquero Grey (Glacier) Carménère 2020

From Ventisquero, the Grey (Glacier) Carménère 2020 is a red wine that expresses classic Carménère character in a gentle, well-rounded style. Varietal notes of green pepper come through with balance, while the nose is led by black fruit, a touch of earthiness and floral hints such as violets.

The wine comes from a Chilean project founded by Gonzalo Vial, inspired by his passion for the land and love of farming. First vines at the Trinidad property were planted in 1998 in the coastal region of the Maipo Valley, where the winery was built. Formally launched in 1999, Ventisquero takes its name from the glaciers of Chilean Patagonia; in Spanish, “Ventisquero” means glacier.
