Synopses

Falls Boys

Aro describes Hawken Trent as polite, sweet, and intent on protecting someone from her, while she dismisses his judgement and labels. Hawke reflects on pushing things too far, as the police arrive and he and a girl run down High Street, taking refuge in Quinn’s bake shop and an old speakeasy entrance. With the door locked and the building surrounded, they remain hidden inside.

Pirate Girls

The narrator is connected to the Trent and Caruthers families, describing Kade and Hunter Caruthers as twin brothers and cousins who have been protective and close. Over time, their relationship shifts, and the narrator notes they do not share any blood. The story references Hunter leaving to join a rival team in Weston, and tensions rising during Rivalry Week, with parades, parties, pranks, and a Prisoner Exchange.
