Components

Security

Encryption is handled in hardware using XTS-AES 256-bit, approved by FIPS 197. After ten consecutive incorrect password entries, brute force protection locks out User or One-Time Recovery passwords; ten consecutive incorrect Admin password attempts trigger crypto-erase.

Password modes

Complex mode supports passwords of six to sixteen characters using three of the four character sets. Passphrase mode accepts a 10-to 64-character numeric PIN, phrase, series of phrases, or lyrics, with an optional “eye” control to reveal the entered password and reduce entry errors.

Write protection

Read-only mode can be set on a session basis by the User or Admin, or enforced by the Admin for the User.
