Security

Encryption is delivered through AES 256-bit hardware encryption in XTS mode, approved by FIPS 197. Brute force protection blocks User or One-Time Recovery credentials after ten consecutive incorrect attempts; ten consecutive incorrect Admin password attempts trigger a crypto-erase. An optional on-screen “eye” control can reveal entered characters to reduce login errors.

Access control

Complex and Passphrase modes support Admin, User and One-Time Recovery credentials. The administrator can reset the user password and enable access again by activating both the user and One-Time Recovery password.
