This 32GB model (IKVP50/32GB) uses FIPS 197 certified AES 256-bit hardware encryption in XTS mode and has undergone penetration testing for enterprise-grade security.

Protection features include defences against brute force password attempts and BadUSB attacks, supported by digitally-signed firmware. Admin, User and One-Time Recovery passwords are supported in both Complex and Passphrase modes, with options such as a 10 to 64-character numeric PIN, phrase, series of phrases, or lyrics in Passphrase mode. Read-only (write-protect) configurations can be set by Admin or User to help guard against infection on untrusted computers, while a built-in virtual keyboard helps protect password entry from keyloggers and screenloggers.
