Designed for secure, physically controlled storage, the Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50 USB Flash Drive delivers hardware-encrypted protection in a premium USB Type-A format. This 16GB model (IKVP50/16GB) uses FIPS 197 certified AES 256-bit hardware encryption in XTS mode, alongside defences against brute force password attempts and BadUSB attacks with digitally-signed firmware.

Pen tested for enterprise-grade security, it supports Admin, User and One-Time Recovery multi-password options in both Complex and Passphrase modes. Complex passwords can be set from six to sixteen characters using three of the four character sets, while Passphrase mode allows a 10 to 64-character numeric PIN, phrase, series of phrases, or lyrics. Dual read-only/write-protect configurations can be applied by Admin or User, including session-based read-only mode and admin-enforced read-only mode for the user. Extra security measures include an on-screen “eye” option to reveal typed passwords and a built-in virtual keyboard to help protect against keyloggers and screenloggers.
