Kuhn Rikon Black Star Iron Serving Pan

Made in Switzerland, the Kuhn Rikon Black Star Iron Serving Pan brings professional-grade durability to everyday cooking. Formed from heavy gauge spun iron, it is designed for high-heat techniques such as searing meat and fast-frying vegetables, while also suiting lower-heat dishes including paella and other rice recipes.

Its traditional paella-pan profile is paired with two cast malleable iron side handles, riveted to the body for a secure hold. The twin-handle design makes it easier to lift and move, and helps it sit neatly on the hob, in the oven, at the table and in storage. With the right seasoning, the surface develops its own non-stick patina over time.

Use and care

• Handwash in hot soapy water before first use and dry thoroughly
• Follow the supplied seasoning instructions before first use
• After seasoning, avoid washing in soapy water to prevent re-seasoning
• Always add some oil before cooking; not suitable for fat-free cooking
• Use silicone, wooden or metal utensils
• Match the pan diameter to the hob ring and avoid dragging across glass hobs
• Do not leave unattended; if strong smoke develops, remove from heat and continue at a lower temperature
• Use oven gloves when lifting and place on an oven shelf, not the oven floor
