Produced by the Merlet family in St Sauvant, France, Merlet Crème de Cassis is a blackcurrant liqueur with 20% ABV. Made from small, richly flavoured berries, the fruit is soaked in pure alcohol, then pressed and filtered before sugar is added to create its smooth, lightly syrupy character.
