Murfatlar Trei Hectare Feteasca Neagra Red Wine

From Murfatlar in Romania’s Dobrogea region, Trei Hectare Feteasca Neagra is a dry red wine shaped by vineyards in the south-east of the country near the Black Sea. Made from Feteasca Neagra, it brings together ripe dark fruit, gentle spice and a structured profile that suits the table well.

Ruby red with violet shades, this wine shows aromas of plums, black currants and black cherries, layered with cedar, oak and light spice. The palate is marked by blackberry, vanilla and caramel, with firm tannins, relatively high acidity and a medium body. It can be enjoyed fresh or kept for ageing, and pairs particularly well with grilled pork or beef, oven-baked lamb, pork schnitzels, and soft or semi-hard cheeses.
