Orion Written in My Own Heart's Blood (Outlander)

Written in My Own Heart's Blood (Outlander) is a short story set before Jamie met Claire. In 1740, a young Jamie Fraser has left Scotland and is in France with his best friend, Ian Murray, running with a band of mercenaries. Both men have reasons for not returning home: they are nursing wounds and, despite their efforts to change their situation, both are still virgins.

When a Jewish doctor hires them to escort his granddaughter to Paris, they accept the work without hesitation. Both are immediately drawn to the young woman, but neither realises that the journey will make their lives, and their friendship, far more complicated and considerably more dangerous.

Synopsis
