From Paper High, the Tree of Life Buffalo Leather Journal with Gemstones is a hand-bound journal crafted to travel well, with a buffalo leather cover protected with natural oils so it softens and ages over time. Each piece is made using a blend of contemporary and traditional methods, with natural dyes used in the tanning process.

Inside, the pages are made from khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi), created by hand from recycled, unbleached cotton salvaged from the Indian garment industry. Lightly textured and luxuriously thick, the acid-free paper feels beautiful for writing, drawing, scrapbooking, painting and travel notes. It’s suitable for ball-point pens, gel pens and watercolours; fountain pens are not recommended. Semi-precious stones are stitched onto the journal and, as each stone is unique by nature, they may differ slightly. Due to the handmade quality and natural materials, every journal will develop its own creases, bumps and marks with age.
