From Viña Vistamar in Chile’s Central Valley, Pelusas Chilean Merlot is a red wine made by winemaker Cristian Carrasco Morel from 85% Merlot and 15% Carmenere. Bottled at 13% ABV, it shows a generous fruit-led style with a polished structure that suits relaxed suppers and easy food pairings.

Intense aromas of red fruits and plums are joined by subtle wood notes, while the palate is rich and fruity with smooth, rounded tannins. Refreshing acidity brings balance and shape, carrying through to a long finish with mature fruit flavours. It pairs well with vegetable bakes, pizzas and pasta with tomato-based sauces. Pelusas Merlot received a Commended Medal at the Sommelier Wine Awards.
