Back at Highbury House for the spring term, Justice is assigned to look after the elderly Mr Arthur at Smugglers’ Lodge, across the marshes from the school. Initially dismayed, she becomes intrigued by Mr Arthur and his stories of piloting in the First World War. Matters deepen when Dorothy, who lives nearby, says the lodge is haunted.
