Tamiya British Navy Battle Cruise Hood/E Class Destroyer (1:700)

From Tamiya’s 1/700 Waterline Series, this re-release pairs the British battlecruiser Hood with an all-new E Class Destroyer model kit. It recreates the ships that sailed together during Hood’s pursuit and final engagement with Bismarck in the Denmark Strait, bringing added depth to a classic subject for naval modellers.

Hood was built in May 1920 and remained among the world’s largest warships for nearly 20 years. The kit’s newly developed E Class Destroyer is Tamiya’s first destroyer to use an easy-to-assemble left/right halves design, with portals, bridge, deck and flared centre reproduced in faithful detail. Polycaps allow the destroyer’s main guns and torpedo launchers to be moveable, supporting a dynamic display alongside other 1/700 Waterline releases.
