Ventisquero was launched in 1999, taking its name from the glaciers of Chilean Patagonia; in Spanish, “Ventisquero” means glacier. The winery’s story began with Gonzalo Vial’s passion for the land and love of farming, with the first vines at the Trinidad property planted in 1998 in the coastal region of the Maipo Valley, where the winery was built.
