Berkfield Garden Gate 105x130 cm Corten Steel Bamboo Design

Designed to bring a more distinctive finish to a boundary or patio entrance, the Berkfield Garden Gate is a corten steel side gate with a decorative bamboo-inspired laser-cut panel. Its combination of clean structure and weathered character makes it a considered choice for gardens where practical access and visual detail matter equally.

Made from corten steel, this gate develops a protective rust-like surface when exposed to the elements. It arrives with a normal metal finish and will weather over time to create the characteristic brown appearance associated with weathering steel. A lockable system adds security, while the gate post base includes mounting holes for fixing to the ground and improving stability.

Treatment & maintenance

Corten steel is naturally anti-corrosive and forms a protective surface layer after exposure to atmospheric conditions, so painting is not required. The gate is supplied before this weathered finish has fully developed, so it will arrive in a normal metal colour and gradually rust over time. To accelerate the process, it can be sprayed with soap water and salt water. Avoid contact with the developing rust layer to help prevent staining on clothing.
