Doluca Sarafin Turkish Fume Blanc (750ml - 13%)

From Doluca, Sarafin Fumé Blanc is a Turkish white wine made from late-harvest Sauvignon Blanc. Fermentation takes place on the lees in 225L barriques for 2 to 3 weeks using unfiltered juice, followed by a further 2 to 3 months on the lees with periodic bâtonnage to build texture.

After racking, the wine is matured in oak for a further 6 months, bringing total oak ageing to 8 months, before bottling and more than a year of ageing in underground cellars. At 13% ABV, it is a carefully matured expression with a detailed élevage. Silver Medals at Vinalies Internationales in France were awarded in 2003 and 2008.
