Domaine de l'Aigle Chardonnay Limoux 2023

From Domaine de l’Aigle, the Limoux Chardonnay 2023 is a Languedoc-Roussillon white wine shaped by its high-altitude setting near Roquetaillade, close to Limoux in the foothills of the Pyrenees. The estate spans around 47 hectares, with vineyards planted between 250 and 500 metres above sea level, among the highest in the Haute Vallée de l’Aude and the wider Languedoc. An oceanic climate with continental influences, frequent rainfall and a wide temperature range helps define the wine’s style, noted for freshness and minerality. Conversion to biodynamic methods began in 2014.

In the glass, it offers fruity notes of hazelnut, fresh almond and acacia flower, alongside hawthorn and broom. The palate is described as fresh and citrus-led, with white fruit and toasty notes on the finish, making it a considered choice for those who enjoy Chardonnay with lift and definition.
