Crafted using both contemporary and traditional methods, each journal is designed to handle regular use while developing a softer, more lived-in finish over time. The leather is a by-product of the meat industry in India, tanned with natural dyes and protected with natural oils.

Inside, the pages are made from hand-crafted recycled cotton paper, also known as khadda paper. Using only unbleached cotton, the paper is acid-free, lightly textured and substantial enough for writing, drawing or painting. This makes the journal well suited to everything from reflective journaling and note-taking to scrapbooking, travel writing and recipe planning. The wraparound leather cover keeps contents secure, while the embossed heart with leaves and flowers adds a distinctive decorative detail. As each piece is handmade, every journal has its own natural creases, bumps and marks.
