Tamiya German Sturmgeschutz III Ausf.B (1:35 Scale)

Built around one of Germany’s most widely produced WWII armoured vehicles, this Tamiya 1:35 scale model kit recreates the Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) Ausf. B assault gun. Based on the Panzer III chassis, the StuG III used a monoblock structure with a 75mm short-barrelled gun mounted directly to the hull, removing the revolving turret and lowering the overall height. The Ausf. B was the first truly mass-produced variant, with 250 produced from June 1940, and it saw action during the Balkans campaign in April 1941 and Operation Barbarossa in June 1941.

Designed for adult constructors, the kit includes an aluminium gun barrel and a photo-etched mesh cover for the engine air intake. Fine detailing extends to the loading device and wireless radio inside the compartment, with accessories provided for accurate fender stowage. After assembly, the cannon can be raised and lowered, and the model employs swing-arm type suspension. Three marking options and one commander figure are included.
