Tamiya Japanese Navy Destroyer Kagero (1:350 Scale)

From Tamiya, this 1/350 scale assembly kit recreates the Japanese Navy Destroyer Kagero as she appeared at the start of WWII. The lead ship of the Kagero class, Kagero was laid down in September 1937 and commissioned in November 1939, later serving on escort duties and the “Tokyo Express” runs before being sunk by U.S. mines in 1943.

The model captures the efficient, uncluttered deck layout with crisp surface detail, and includes new components to represent early-war fittings such as the bridge without radar room and the less-equipped early mast. Clear parts are supplied for the windows, while updated aft deck parts accommodate the additional twin 12.7cm gun turret carried on early-war ships.
