What happens on the day

After boarding at the Spa Valley Railway, you will travel through the High Weald countryside on a heritage train. You can hop off and explore along the route, with stops including Eridge, Groombridge, High Rocks and Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Your overnight stay takes place at the Mercure Tunbridge Wells Hotel, a short drive from the railway. Arrive any time after check-in opens, leave your bags in your room, and head to the hotel restaurant where your £50 shared dinner allowance can be used across starters, mains, desserts and drinks. In the morning, enjoy a cooked or continental breakfast before checking out and travelling home.

• A parking charge of £10 per day will be charged for all guests and visitors at the hotel
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
• The heritage railway will be either steam locomotive or 1960s diesel locomotive or other carriages subject to necessity

Availability

• Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
• Your vouchers must be booked and used before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability
• Your voucher is available 7 days a week. Date exclusions such as special or major events will apply
• Check in will be 14.00 on the day of arrival and check out will be 12.00 on the day of departure
• We recommend you book at least six weeks in advance to ensure dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. Some weekends may be subject to a minimum stay
• Please note - Saturdays can be particularly busy and at peak times may require a minimum 12 weeks lead booking time
• The experience can only be undertaken on green timetabled days. The experience is not available during November and December. Other exclusions may apply
• We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure dates are available
• You should allow approximately 1 hour to enjoy the train trip on the Spa Valley Railway
