This 1. 25-inch filter threads on to compatible eyepieces and allows 13% light transmission, helping to cut glare from the Moon while preserving a natural-looking image.

Its neutral density design affects the visible spectrum evenly, avoiding the colour shift associated with some coloured filters. The glass filter is housed in an aluminium cell and is threaded on both sides, so it can also be stacked with colour filters. Alongside lunar observation, it can be used to reduce glare and improve contrast on bright targets such as Venus, Jupiter and bright double stars.
