Two Drifters Lightly Spiced Rum 70cl 40% ABV

Why it stands out

Two Drifters Lightly Spiced Rum is made entirely in Devon, from fermentation through to distillation and spicing, giving it a more grounded sense of origin than many spiced rums. It starts with pot still rum made from 100% cane molasses, then layers in spice carefully so the rum stays at the heart of the bottle. Waste cacao husks are also used to bring natural colour and a little extra depth, which adds interest without tipping the style into something overly sweet.

Flavour profile

This is a dry, warming and aromatic style. You’ll pick up vanilla, chai, toffee apple and cacao first, followed by subtler notes of liquorice, toasted sugar, honey and soft chocolate. There is a gentle aniseed character running through it, which helps keep the finish neat and lifted rather than heavy.

Good to know

At 40% ABV, it works well with ginger ale or in classic rum serves where you still want the base spirit to show clearly. It is also vegan and produced by a carbon-negative distillery.
