High-resolution planetary, lunar and solar imaging comes into focus with the Celestron NexImage 20 Solar System Colour Imager, a USB astro photography camera built around a 20MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor. It captures live video and 5240 x 3840 pixel still images, with a 7. 3mm x 5. 4mm Onsemi AR2020 sensor and 1. 4 micron square pixels for detailed image capture and post-processing workflows such as stacking, printing and sharing.

Connection is straightforward via the supplied 1. 25" nosepiece, which fits directly into a telescope’s 1. 25" eyepiece holder, while the USB-A to USB-C cable links the camera to a Windows computer. Hardware ROI sub-framing allows the frame to be cropped around the target for faster frame rates and smaller files, particularly useful for planetary work. NexImage 20 also supports autoguiding and includes iCap software for control over exposure, gain and frame rate.
