Celestron Aluminum Dew Shield with Cover Cap 14"

For larger Celestron optical tubes, this aluminium dew shield with cover cap adds a precise, rigid fit and practical protection in the field. Made for 14-inch EdgeHD, 36cm RASA and Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope tubes produced after 2006, it helps reduce dew formation on the Schmidt corrector lens while also limiting stray light entering the optical system.

The metal outer body resists folding, flexing and distortion, while the velvet-lined interior absorbs excess stray light and moisture to support improved contrast for viewing and astroimaging. Two adjustable clips secure the shield to the telescope tube for straightforward fitting and removal. A built-in cable management slot at the base keeps essential cables neatly routed when using Fastar/Hyperstar configurations or Celestron Dew Heater Rings, and openings at the top and bottom accommodate dovetail rails. The included aluminium cover cap helps keep dust away from the corrector when the telescope is not in use and also allows dark frames to be captured for imaging.
