Cramele Recas Wine Meat Love Vegan Red Wine

From Cramele Recas, Meat Love Vegan Red Wine is a dry red from the Banat region, made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Feteasca Neagra. Drawn from selected parcels in the Dealul Uberland vineyard in Recas and the Pestera vineyard near Murfatlar by the Black Sea, it is crafted for a full-bodied, fruit-led style with 13.5% ABV.

Destemmed grapes were macerated in stainless steel auto fermentors for nine days at around 28°C, with only the free run wine used after gentle pressing. The wine then underwent 100% natural malolactic fermentation, while 50% was matured with medium-toast French oak staves for two months, adding a hint of vanilla and extra structure. Naturally cold stabilised, lightly filtered and made without fining materials, it is suitable for vegans.

Nose

Dark violet, with notes of ripe plum and blackberry

Palate

Full bodied, packed with dark fruit flavours of blackcurrant, plum and blueberry with a gentle hint of vanilla spice

Finish

Rich, soft and juicy

Serving suggestion

Serve at 16–18°C. Pairs well with BBQ sticky ribs or a rich chilli con carne.
