This three-book set brings together Julia Quinn’s Blydon Family Saga: Splendid, Dancing At Midnight and Minx. Across the collection, the stories move between London society and the countryside, introducing characters navigating expectations around marriage, inheritance and independence.

In Splendid, Alexander Ridgely, the Duke of Ashbourne, is known for his determination to avoid marriage until an American heiress intervenes to save his young nephew. Dancing At Midnight follows Lady Arabella Blydon as she steps away from the Marriage Mart after a suitor’s remarks, only to meet Lord John Blackwood during a stay in the country. In Minx, Henrietta Barrett, known as Henry, faces upheaval when her guardian dies and her home passes to a distant cousin, William Dunford, an elusive London bachelor.

Synopses

Splendid

There are two things everyone knows about Alexander Ridgely: he is the Duke of Ashbourne, and he is determined to avoid marriage. That changes when a redheaded American throws herself in front of a carriage to save his young nephew’s life.

American heiress Emma Dunster plans to take part in just one London season before returning to Boston to run her father’s shipping company. Her cousins, however, are intent on seeing her settle in England.

Dancing At Midnight

Lady Arabella Blydon is admired for her beauty and her mind, but she has grown tired of men. After a suitor claims he can overlook her bluestocking tendencies because of her looks and fortune, she decides to step away from the Marriage Mart.

During an extended stay in the country, she does not expect to meet Lord John Blackwood, a wounded war hero who intrigues her.

Minx

Henrietta Barrett has never followed society’s rules: she runs her elderly guardian’s remote Cornwall estate, wears breeches rather than frocks, and answers to the name Henry. When her guardian dies, her home passes to a distant cousin, and it takes a rogue to match her.

William Dunford, London’s most elusive bachelor, is stunned to inherit property, a title and a ward determined to make his first visit his last. Henry wants to keep running Stannage Park without help, while Dunford is certain he can change things, beginning with his wild young ward.
