Louis Latour Gevrey-Chambertin 2021

From Louis Latour, the Gevrey-Chambertin 2021 is a red Burgundy from one of the Côte de Nuits’ most celebrated viticultural villages, situated about 10 km from Dijon. Gevrey-Chambertin was the first village of the Côte d’Or to combine its name with that of one of its Grand Crus, becoming Gevrey-Chambertin in 1847. Planted only with Pinot Noir, the appellation spans the full Burgundian hierarchy, with village wines gathered on the lower slopes beneath premiers crus to the north and grand crus to the south.

In the glass, this Gevrey-Chambertin reveals aromas of lightly wooded blackcurrant. The palate follows with blackcurrant and liquorice, finishing with a subtle peppery note and silky tannins, bringing structure and poise to the wine’s naturally powerful style.
