What happens on the day

Your journey begins at Bolton Abbey Station, where you will exchange your tickets before boarding one of the beautifully restored Mark 1 coaches. As the steam train departs, you will travel through rolling hills, green valleys and the wider Yorkshire Dales landscape.

During the journey, a selection of sweet and savoury delights will be served with unlimited tea or coffee. The train makes a brief stop at Embsay Station, where you can stretch your legs and admire the Grade II listed station building while the steam engine runs around to prepare for the return journey. You will then travel back to Bolton Abbey Station surrounded by the scenery of the Yorkshire Dales.
