Alexandrion Carpathian Shiraz Single Malt Whisky 700ml 40% ABV

From the Alexandrion Saber 1789 Distillery near the Carpathian Mountains, Carpathian Shiraz Single Malt is a Romanian single malt whisky bottled at 40% ABV. Produced with 100% malted barley from Romania and sub-Carpathian water, it is distilled, matured and bottled at the distillery under the stewardship of master distiller Allan Anderson.

This expression from the Romanian Wine Cask Collection matures for over three years in 200L bourbon casks made from white American oak, before a further year in 400L European oak Shiraz barrels sourced from Alexandrion’s own winery. The result is a whisky with a sweet, rich profile and a long, intense finish.
