Celestron StarSense AutoAlign

For faster, more straightforward setup of a compatible Celestron computerised telescope, the StarSense AutoAlign replaces manual star alignment with an automated system built around a small digital camera and dedicated hand control. This telescope accessory captures images of the night sky, compares them with its internal database and calculates the telescope’s position automatically.

Alignment takes around 3 minutes or less, with minimal user input once the time, date and location are entered. The supplied StarSense hand controller includes a database of over 40,000 celestial objects and replaces the standard NexStar hand control during use. Two mounting brackets are included for attaching the camera in place of the finderscope, and the system also provides advanced mount modelling for more precise GoTo pointing on compatible mounts.
