From the Alexandrion Saber 1789 Distillery near the Carpathian Mountains, Alexandrion Carpathian Ruby Port Single Malt Whisky is a Romanian single malt bottled at 46% ABV. Distilled, matured and bottled in Romania, it is made with 100% malted barley produced in Romania and sub-Carpathian water.

This expression is initially matured in 200L Kentucky bourbon barrels before transfer to 225L Ruby Port casks of European oak from Portugal’s Douro Valley. The cask combination brings together sweetness and red fruit character with the vanilla influence of bourbon oak, giving the whisky a rounded, rich profile with a creamy finish.
