Few Spirits Straight Bourbon Whiskey (700ml - 46.5%)

From FEW Spirits in Evanston, Illinois, this straight bourbon whiskey is made in small batches using a three-grain mash bill of 70% corn, 20% rye and 10% barley malt. Bottled at 46.5% ABV, it brings together the sweetness of corn, the spice of northern rye and the smooth character of malted barley.

Founded in 2011 by Paul Hletko, FEW Spirits follows a full grain-to-glass process in-house, covering fermentation, distillation and ageing. Fermentation lasts around three days under temperature-controlled conditions before distillation in a 30-foot column still and a hybrid doubler. The whiskey is then aged for around four years in charred Minnesota white oak barrels, typically with a number 3 char, with smaller casks from 5 to 30 gallons used to increase flavour extraction.
